“Anam Cara” Matara Wedding Centre {Helen & Andrew}

A beautifully sunny day for everyone involved as late Spring/Summer finally came out for Helen and Andrew’s Matara Wedding.

I had a great day with Helen and Andrew as they got married around the pond at the always beautiful Matara in Kingscote near Tetbury.

I was asked by Helen (secretly) to start the day with Andrew as he prepared with all his closest friends at a beautiful house near Nailsworth – only a couple of miles away from where I live. Bonus!

The reason I was there, was because Helen had organised a surprise car for Andrew in the morning. Yes, the Ghostbusters car was there and transported the guys to the venue in some style!

Once Andrew had arrived at the venue, I then headed upstairs to see the Bride and get a sense if the atmosphere upstairs with all her bridesmaids.

As Helen changed into her wedding dress, I headed back downstairs to capture the guests arriving and speak to the Registra’s (something I have to do all the time), to understand their rules for the ceremony. Basically discretion is always key, which fits in well with me. I never set anything up!

Once Andrew and his guests were all in place, the Bridesmaids and Flowergirls entered the venue, soon followed by the beautiful Bride. Andrew smiled as he saw his soon-to-Bride walked around the pond to greet him. After a few vows, promises and a ring exchange, the couple were wed and they celebrated with a kiss.

Immediately after they left the ceremony, we all headed off to the siding trees and after three lovely readings, the couple headed back to have their champagne reception on the lawn outside the front of the house.

After a couple of hours being entertained by the fabulous Josh Poole with Twisted-Music we headed into their wedding breakfast. A wonderful set of speeches and a beautiful three course meal was served.

Warren from Howell Jones Photography was the amazing photographer for the day and we managed to get the couple alone for a little while and got some portrait shots, as wells a couple of formal photos.

After this, there was a great band called Munch who set the evening alight and then to cap it all off they had sparklers and fireworks.

Was an amazing day! So happy to have caught it for you guys!
